Why Scholar Fund?
- We found that it was unnecessarily hard for people to give one off scholarships. Many universities require a large upfront endowment to manage a scholarship. Charities not focused on scholarships may not have the staff to take care of the scholarship or want you to alter your scholarship so it fits within their timeline, mission or capabilities. And the IRS requires you to have filed and be compliant to their regulations for scholarships to be charitable and tax exempt. It shouldn’t be that hard to give away scholarships, so we created Scholar Fund that addressed all the various legal red-tape/ IRS regulations and built a platform that served everyone: the people who want to create a scholarship, the people who want to fund scholarships, the community that reaches out and supports students and the students themselves.
- We provide a custom dashboard to set-up the scholarship, fund the scholarship, and select/award the scholarship winner. You do not need to be a corporation or foundation to be able to get the same support and resources to give away your scholarship.
- We reach out to a network of non-profits, schools and community leaders to find qualified students to apply to scholarships.
- We ensure integrity in the scholarship process and all scholarships awarded are compliant and only goes towards qualified educational expenses.
